Drupal.org will be offline for some scheduled maintenance on Tuesday 2009-08-11 from 19:00 to 19:30 UTC (noon to 12:30pm PDT, 3:00 to 3:30pm EDT, etc). We'll be upgrading our automated testing infrastructure, and some other code related to releases and issue tracking (which will facilitate implementing the drupal.org redesign).
The Lullabot team is proud to announce its latest Drupal learning tool: Lullabot Online Workshops. The first of these is "Drupal Fundamentals", a six-week course beginning September 9th, 2009.
Improving the usability of Drupal is very important. Yesterday, I wrote about the progress that was made on Drupal 7 usability -- the community has made a ton of incremental improvements, while Mark and Leisa have been preparing mockups and wireframes that provide significant over-arching improvements to Drupal's ease of use. Combined, I believe these efforts could make Drupal 7 a great release.

The developers have made it easier to install, to update, to internationalize, to customize, to theme, to find help, to recover from errors, and to interact.
